Theme for September / October. Orange

Thank you Ian for the July / August theme of Water, a good theme choice which produced an excellent range and variety of photographs.

I thought I would set a new theme for September and October, my chosen theme is orange.

There is no restriction, it is wholly up to you how you choose to interpret the theme. As for the last two months, Ii would be good to see some continued inventive and imaginative shots in the mix.

The basics (the wording is the same as for the last two months to help encourage participation)
    • This is not a competition, it is purely for fun
    • All photos should be your own and taken within the period of the theme (to encourage the taking of new photos)
    • You can post as many times and as many photos as you wish
    • Everyone is very welcome to comment on the photos
    • Please include EXIF data if possible (not essential but is requested to help other members)
    • All entries to be shot with a Canon EOS camera either film or digital, SLR, DLSR, M or R series (any make of lens can be used)
This theme will close at midnight on 31 October.

Have fun and remember to think orange!

A brilliant display of trailing begonias in the garden. Even better is that they survived over winter and the display exceeds what I had last year.

That is a lovely pic and a super display, how many plants are there? I hope it survives this coming winter.

Welcome to the monthly ( well, bi-monthly ) theme Roy.
I love your pic and the use of the orange filter, not something that I would have thought of I must admit.
It gives an ‘other worldly’ sci-fi feel and very atmospheric.

I look forward to seeing some more of your pics.

Thank you Rose, there are just two plants, both survived overwintering in the greenhouse

Thank you Rose, it was a very experimental day as I combined a walk with numerous coloured (Dorr) filters. Many have commented - "It's like something out of Dune"! Wasn't my intention but sometimes it works out. :-)

Two from the garden this morning.

Update: Apologies I have been advised by "The Head Gardener" that the second images isn't a Geum! It's a "Cosmos Brightness Orange" I have been
                  duly reprimanded

Whatever its name, the second flower is beautiful Peter! I love orange flowers.
nice DoF in both pics to show off the beauty of the plant flowers.

Orange in every sense of the word.

Thank you everyone for posting, looking and commenting on the photos for the Sept / Oct theme of 'orange'; I loved all of the images posted.

                              This theme is now closed.
& it is over to anyone who would like to set a theme for November and December; this is purely for fun.
