    Hi All

    Been 'lurking' for several months but now saying hello.
    I'm a retired guy just reconnecting with a long-time hobby that I've now got the time to concentrate on. I've recently done a couple of courses - one to learn how to use my camera 'properly' rather than just use the Auto settings, and another Digital Photography course run by one of the online colleges which is broadly similar to the OU digital photography course.
    I currently have an EOS600D with the EFS 17-85 lens, which I absolutely love, and a Tamron 18-270mm which is a nice piece too.
    Desperately trying to avoid looking at all the expensive kit - so tempting, but so expensive.

    Welcome Tony. Hope to see some of your images soon. You'll find this one of friendliest forums going.

    Lots of nice kit around but as you say bit expensive. Will be retiring myself soon so planning to get all the kit I fancy before then, with SHMBO permission of course!
