    Hello from Geordieland

    Dear all,

Sorry for the delay in posting my first message(joined in August, 2013), I have only just acquired enough lenses to feel properly equpped & able to post here.

I currently have a Canon 1000fn film camera, which came with the kit lens of a 35-80mm USM and a camera bag to keep my gubbins in This was a very kind gift from my neighbour, whose son had just went "digital" over to the dark side i.e. a non-canon camera, to whit, the greek kind

So now I am the proud owner/custodian of a classic/near vintage Canon. I also have a Canon Sureshot TELEmax & a definintely vintage Practika Nova IIb, both refugees from my parents attic

I am still learning about exposures, "f" stops, apertures & everything else, but having a lot of fun along the way

My current camera gear consists of:

    Canon Camera(as above)
    Canon 35-80mm USM
    Sigma 24mm Super Wide II
    Sigma 70-210mm SAF
    Cobra 700AF flash

As & when I am allowed a signature on the forum, the above items will form the basis of that signature

    Regards,
    Martin

          Most important, enjoy photography
The camera works just fine, it's the idiot staring through the viewfinder that need's help!

You don't need loads of gear to be able to post here just a love of photography (and canon of course)

If you ever achieve the state of Nirvana that says that you have "enough" lenses and other kit, you will be unique on this forum! Just as you think you have, something else comes along to create an itch!

                              Dear all,

Thank you all for your warm & generous welcome

To Richard Anderson - I am only hankering after just one more lens, then it will be complete, or until another lens catches my eye on e-bay

To Stan & Dave_s - the reason the text is bigger than usual is because of my sight impairment Besides, if | can read it, so can the majority

To PaulR5604 - I like taking pictures, espcially with my canon slr. Alas, with the weather lately, its either been too cold, too wet, too overcast or all 3 which has stopped me from taking pictures. Still, march is not too long away

Having had a good look around, I would like to ask a question about m42 lenses/adaptors to EOS, but I am a bit unsure as to where in the forum I should post it. Any ideas Being a newbie poster, I do not want to upset anyone unnecessarily.

                              Regards,
                              Martin S
