    Hello from South London

    hi,
    New to the forum and this is my first post.
    I have been into photography for some time and my first camera was a pentax ME super.
    My present camera is the 550D and my main interest is taking photo's at the goodwood revival and festival of speed.
    I'am off to norway in the next few months and any feedback towards what type of lens I should be looking at would be helpful...( i have just purchased the 24-105 f4L lens). Lastly I'm an avid fan of watching AFC Wimbledon..so any fellow womble supporters out there, hi...

    lens would depend of what you intend to shoot although your 24-105 should be fine as a standard walk about lens

        Stan, I was looking at landscape photography and also indoor shots for museums that I visit .. thinking of something like 11/16 to 20mm. Have read a few reviews but really cant pin one down...

            Hi! And welcome to the forum from another Sarf Londoner!

            Many museums don't like flash so you could need a fast lens, so perhaps the 50 f1.8, or 1.4 might be handy. Depends what type of museum shots you'll be doing! Enjoy your trip.

                  My lens of choice for photographing cars is the 17-40L as you quite often need to get up close to avoid the crowds!

                  ..........there may be some MK Dons supporters who may be in touch!

                    re the supporters (?) of a certain team from Bucks , there aren't that many.....But this a camera forum and Iam a Newbie...

                        back to photo stuff ....thanks for the comment Martin, I used my 17-40 on most of those pics at Greenwich, its my prefered 'walk about' lens
