Hi - I am returning to photography after a number of years in the wilderness. I had an old Canon SLR 500n which I loved and have been using only small digital camera's since film gave way to digital. After a lot of research I decided go all out and buy a 5d MkII. I am very much an amateur and want to improve both technically and artistically.

There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is! -

Thanks to all for your warm welcome. I am not wanting to limit myself to any specific area of photography however I have started some seascapes, since I love images of soft water, rock pools and early light. I have however had a few challenges to start with and not really been happy with my work so far. Although by trial and error I seem to be picking up tips at each outing.Comment
