    Hi Y'All

    Hi Everyone,

Joined up to get some tips and hints on how to get the best out of my camera.

I have a canon EOS1100D, a birthday present from my wife.

I mainly use it for taking pictures of my twins, Jack & Megan, who are 3 years old and obviously never sit still! Family holidays and camping trips, so UK weather to contend with there!

And I am a keen fisherman and take my camera with me to fire of shots of the lakes, wildlife and any fish I am lucky to catch.

Welcome Baity (I see the fishing connection there )

You'll learn lots of weird and wonderful things here so ask lots of questions and show some images (via Flickr not direct upload)

    Cheers,

                  Re: Hi Y'All

                  thanks guys,

Well I set up a flikr account so hopefully will be posting up some pictures soon. Really trying to get away from just pointing and clicking away in auto mode, then editing on the pc after I've downloaded the shots.

Obviously with the kids running around at 100mph this is fine, as I fire of 100's of shots and maybe get the a few decent ones at the end, but what I really want improve on is my scenery shots, fishing shot, and generally improve my photography skills.

I think I have a good eye, but sometimes my pictures are lacking a little texture or look a little washed out and not the true colours I'm shooting, and my night shots could do with some improvement. I know its the settings on the camera, I just need to learn what they do and practise with each setting before playing around personalising them.
