    Back to Canon

Have used canon for years but changed to Nikon 1o yrs ago - enjoyed Nikon okay but my purchase of the new NIKON D500 - was a disaster when they both broke after a few months - bought them in the uk to secure warranty but when I sent them for repair Nikon claimed they were damaged in the post - to cut a long story short after 2 months we finally came to a agreement and I paid over £200 to them - I buy 2 cameras approx every year just for sport and they are little used and I just felt I could not support Nikon anymore so I have just bought a canon 5DMK1V and 50mm lens - hope to get 24-105mm later on - would appreciate any advice on this camera.

Quick response - don't bother with DPRAW and don't turn on DLO. I am pretty happy with mine so far.

Same here - first time I tried a bracket for HDR I thought the camera had locked after the first shot. Same function is available in DPP if really wanted.

it really slow it that much !! OK cheers for the heads up I'll turn it off as I often shot 5/7 brackets so makes sense not to have it on

                      Re: Back to Canon

I have only used the Dual Pixel RAW for a few macro shots where it was interesting to see the results. I would agree that turning it on hammers the performance. Digital Lens Optimization is totally unnecessary as it can be achieved in post. Overall I love the camera and have taken over 5000 images with it so far.
