One Trophy or Two Sir ?

This is the week of the Dorset Arts and Crafts Exhibition and is the main print competition we enter outside of camera club. We are permitted to enter five prints across various categories and last year we did very well and did not expect to top it but......we went to the presentation this afternoon and Dee was awarded a Gold (work of outstanding merit), a Silver (work of special merit), a Highly Commended and a Commended - excellent and well deserved

Me ,i went a bit better, winning two trophies

The Graham Jones trophy for wildlife

and the Mandarin Bowl for Monochrome

Both were Gold awards and in addition i received a further Gold, a Highly Commended and a Commended for my other 3 shots

    So obviously both very pleased

(Although it is a shame you won't be going out for a few days... having to wait till you can get your heads through the door! )

Absolutely excellent work from you and Dee, Stan. All these images definitely deserved to be recognised. Brilliant simple as. Certainly gives someone like myself a bit of a target, and something to try to work towards, and for that I give you both my sincere thanks. CHEERS.

I dont think any of these images are beyond anyone. When I got my first DSLR 7 years ago, I didn't have a clue what an aperture was, the difference between a wide angle and telephoto lens and 99% of what i have learned over the years has come from taking part in forums, listening to advice and then trying to put it into practice
