    Its a whopper!

Thought I would post this here as its more a pub bragging topic! Not a great photo, too far away with the wrong kit so a huge crop, but saw this as walked around the lake at Blenheim yesterday. I bet the photo the second chap is taking is now pride of place!

With pike this size in the lake it could explain the lack of young Grebes!!

and I though I was going to see a burger ;o)...been ages ...bloody diets ;o(((

you know I like that shot and whilst I'm not taking anything away from the fish he's caught I think you've got a half decent pick - really like the way the ripples are working outwards

So did he throw it back in ?

Thanks Ian, yes I liked the ripple which is why I cropped it that shape. It did get returned to the water and eventually swam off. To be fair to the fisherman they had the right gear to lower it back in (well it look right to non fisherman) and spent time letting it recover. It was out of the water quite a while but seemed to survive the experience.

That's a good shot Andrew, well spotted. The pike is a nice one, hope they can still count all of their fingers!

Thanks Nat, something a bit different.

Thanks Alan, I think it was a close call as it was the commotion and cursing that drew my attention!

I am always amazed by how much detail the camera records even when you have the wrong lens attached.
