Funnily enough we are going that way for a few days next week and will be visiting Leeds Castle as well as Dungeness and around Whitstable and Seasalter. There is also Hever Castle to consider. If you are looking at venues other than for landscapes and the like, the British Wildlife Centre is good for a day out, but during school term time is only open at weekends

Thanks Ian and Stan for these suggestions I shall have to see where I'm allowed to visit. As Sissinghurst has been on the Brides "Must Visit" list for some time. Setting off in the morning and back in time to visit the polling station before it close's on Thursday.

Peter, Bedgebury Pinetum is worth a visit and Wakehurst Place. Also in West Kent you have Chartwell, Knole Park Sevenoaks, Scotny Castle, Ightham Mote and several other National Trust places,

Stan, if you're doing Whitstable area, Reculver Fort is good for sunsets and Oare Marshes near Faversham is good for birdlife, eps early evening when sometimes hundreds of Black Tailed Godwits and Avocets catch the evening sun. A bit further away is Elmley nature reserve on the Isle of Sheppy, (it's closed on Tuesdays) Marsh harriers and hares are fairly abundant.
Another place with a visit, is the clifftop walk from St Margarets Bay towards Kingsdown, good chance of Peregrine and Raven

We've crossed Scotney Castle of the list. Spent the afternoon having a look around it. Plenty of photography options there[emoji106]
