Roof top sleeping

This was on our campsite in Cornwall last week.

I had not seen one before - apparently South African in origin and the go-to choice for those on a LR camping safari.

That is just a small one, the section at the rear can be bought so it fans out and almost surrounds the car.

That on the side looks like it is just an awning.

I saw something similar John when we were on the Isle of Harris in June, it was on top of a VW Golf. When we spotted the car again it seemed to have collapsed the tent and ladder down into a roof box storage arrangement.
