    Nature's bounty

    My daughter's apple tree is overburdened with fruit this year - it is literally dragging on the ground with the weight!

    It seems a very good year for fruits John. I been picking blackberries from the garden, ten pounds we made into jelly, ten pound in the freezer for pies. And still there is more - might make some wine.

      That is amazing, has there been anything out of the ordinary to make this year bountiful?
      Maybe nature proving food ahead of a bleak winter……

        I guess spring was largely was dry and warm which likely meant an abundance of pollinators and little damage to the flowers. This as we know was followed by a rather wetter summer so the crops were well watered as they grew...
