    Cheers :)

    Location, above all is paramount. Google sky map for android to, so you can get your bearings and TPE for Android, so you can keep track of the moon as the moon plays havoc with the sky darkness.

        Great shots, Paul - looks like a shooting star in the second which is a spot of luck that we all rely on :-) but especially given the proximity to lights, the milky way in the first is the better technical shot in my opinion.

        And I like the foreground in both...but I suggest you post some of the GF separately in order to keep the peace....

          lovely shot. if im not mistaken you have caught the andromeda galaxy in the upper right corner too.
          really nice capture.
          Canon 6d, Canon EOS 70d. Canon 24-70f4 L, Canon 70-200 f4 L, Canon 17-85mm. 50mm 1.8, Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6, Tamron 70-300mm di vc usm. Sigma 70mm 2.8 macro. Lots of enthusiasm and never enough time.
