Revisited "The ruin of the Church of Cill Chriosd in B&W"

I thought I would have another practice with Silver Efex Pro2, well it would be rude not to seeing as I bought it at least three or more years ago. The same subject from below the steps leading up to the church.

Looks like your getting the hang of it!!! Bit of a halo going on around the top of the ruin on the left and right but overall, I like.

Very nice Peter. What I would be tempted to do is to burn (darken) some of the grass on both the right and left sides to help lead the eyes to the stairs, also I might be tempted to dodge some the wall to lift it just a bit.

As I was so helpfully advise by El Sid, halos tend to be more prominent if the image is sharpened in LR before further processing in Efexpro. I've found that it most certainly does. Did you sharpen this before processing Peter as there is an obvious halo around the tree to the left? If you didn't then I'm talking rubbish and is often the case

Alan I didn't sharpen it until I'd finished processing it. But the halos are all of my making as they don't exist on the raw file [emoji85][emoji86][emoji87]

I do prefer your other B&W one of this church - I'm not too keen on the process here, sorry

Having looked again at the other mono you posted I have to agree with Ian (again) and say that the other image has the definite edge over this.
