    Oh no...not more Reds !!

Another trip to Brownsea today and with the lack still of birds up close, I spent another couple of hours with the red squirrels. This time I mainly got him to pose on the ground rather than on stumps and i found a perfect place between two trees with moss between as shown in the first shot

    All with 70-200 f 2.8 and 1.4x

    Stan

and one of the few on a log

I have put together a set of all the red shots from the past 3 weeks here - still a few more to process though from today

Excellent again. Love number 3. Have to say though that number 4 does look like he has just processed the nuts he has eaten with that knuckle of the tree sticking out like that.

            Thanks guys

Reds are one of my favourite animals to photograph especially at this time of year when they have the "tufts" and am so lucky living only 5 miles away from Brownsea Island. So as long as they are about i shall continue to shoot but try and look for different poses and backgrounds

Another great set Stan. Looks to me as if he is your personal pet the way he(she) is posing.
We have black squirrels here but have never got close.

                            Thanks for looking.

It's more a case of attracting their attention with a hazelnut and then they will come back again and again for more

                              Gorgeous.

I've only seen reds once, in Scotland, and I didn't have the reach to take anything good of them.

                              Very nice indeed.
