I suspect that the reason most, if not all, of the more experienced members here are only too willing to help, is that we remember back to a time when we were "Charlies". That's quite a sobering thought if any of us were ever tempted to go into Ego, or Points Scoring mode as on some other Forums.
This internet and Forum M'Larky is tremendous in shortening your learning curve. At any time of the day or night you can post a question on this Forum and someone will be onto it fairly quickly, whether here in the UK, or across the pond. Before this, it was wait a week and hope someone at the camera club could answer, or wade through hundreds of books in the library, in the nearest town.
Photography has never been easier, or so exciting.
