    Jackdaw

Went to photograph the kestrels yesterday and had company of this jackdaw. Despite his misshapen beak he can still forage.

Actually in our village is a place that looks after injured birds. This jackdaw came in as a young bird and is now very use to people, often frightens the day trippers (we are on the edge of the Pennies and there is a canal with cafes etc.) by landing on their shoulder.

He spent about quarter of an hour with me siting on my shoulder and arm.

Nice shot Ant, yes an highly intelligent bird, we had one a few years back that would come in the back door and eat the cats food --- old Tibbs did not go much on it.
