free as in can buy - but its only £6 for 2 yrs, but I know a hosting company that will throw the name and space for £25 a yr - considering your selling images why not invest the time in your own site, you'll probably in the long run get more sales and could offer lots more as well

Doing my own website is not really an option though as i don't have that much time or the experience and doing prints for people is getting a real pain for me as i work full time during the week(all the parents of the juniors want prints or digital files) , this way i can set my profit margins and let smugmug do all the rest so it takes all the extra pressure away from me,I'm only going to give it a year to see how thing progress but i like the look and ease of use the website provides.

WP blogs are just as easy as any other CM sites, but I understand with time - its just same time could be put into your site - I would suggest you buy that name even if just to park it in your name

Another option is to buy it and use URL forwarding to your free site then all you tell people is your url rather than the longer free name - this is also very easy to set up when buying the name and is free

I actually sold some images from my new website (from this weeks action) so I'm a happy bunny at the moment and glad the sites doing what i want it to do
