    Re: Grasstrack Sidecars II

I think I'll just have to remain ignorant of the vagaries of right and left handed grass track side cars, because I more confused than when I started this conversation

Are those machines (the ones in image four) a different class again?
I used to race sidecars in grass-track events in the 60s and the outfits looked pretty much like those in image 4. They are capable of going clockwise and anti-clockwise around any circuit, even those with a chicane. The passenger has to move from one side of the machine to the other as they negotiate the different bends. The outfits in the first three images are so constructed that they can only go one way round and more closely resemble speedway outfits. The 'sidecar' is nothing more than an extension for the third wheel and cannot support the passenger.

Interesting set, well captured Stan. I seem to remember these sort of events being televised on a Saturday afternoon when they also used to show wrestling

Both showing our age - I remember that too and I think it was scrambling then rather than grasstrack - bit similar to MotoX
