Love the shots of the J39 (especially as it's a North-East Engine) , Wish i had the space for a layout in the flat , all my Locos are boxed up but someday..... Have to contend my self with looking at the layouts on Youtube , the one i really admire is Mouldy Raspberrys 'Yorkshire Dales' one......

Great layout and great pictures I can appreciate the time its taken you.
Know a chap that's got a massive layout, spent a fortune on it, he's converted two rooms of his house to it (he's not married!!!) what fascinates me about it, is the control desk, its like a aircraft cockpit with a laptop touch screen. He changers it from night to day all with sound, when its at the night setting you can hear a owl hooting. All the buildings and lamp post light up. There's also a river that's flowing through the whole layout

Thanks for the comments guys, my layout has a long way to go, my pal had his controlled by a laptop, but found it too much of a faff. I use a Digitrax dcc controller, one of my loco's has sound, the others are in a long list of things to get round too.
