    In the middle of reading the biography of Bill Hoole, the top link A4 driver - 60007 was "his" engine for quite a long time, and he probably would have topped Mallard's speed record with it if early Health and Safety hadn't prevented it. Too many passengers in tow to take any degree of risk, so he had to restrain it at 112mph whilst accelarating down Stoke Bank.
    Interesting read, but just had to return and look at your pictures again.
    His grave is in rather a beautiful churchyard by the side of the Festiniog railway where he drove the narrow gauge stuff during his retirement.
