I am considering the purchase of one of these, as a convenient means of transporting photos to show family and friends.
I have a good lap-top, but its hardly 'pocket size', and Mrs S has a Samsung Galaxy Tab3, which while having a nice sharp display, having a 10.1" screen, is again not pocket size.
Having read a number of reviews on the Hudl2, both pro and end-user, it does review very well, and is much better spec'd than the Kindle Fire HD. Also much cheaper than Apple's offering.
The two main complaints, seem to be poor battery life, and the slowness of the installed Tesco loader. However, as I understand it, the latter issue can be resolved by uninstalling the Tesco loader, and installing a readily available 'third party loader'.
I know there is a lot of hype surrounding Apple tablets, but they are unnecessarily expensive IMO, and quite frankly, I much preferred my Samsung Galaxy phone (which I gave to my wife), to the iPhone 4S that I currently use.
