A friend has an EOS 450D that heats up and stops working when she is using it for a few minutes under sunshine. Obviously there is something wrong, as I have seen the same model working for hours in the sun without any problem. Anyone with a similar experience? Thanks.

I have owned the 450D for some time and took it to Canada 2 years ago. It functioned perfectly well with no problems. It is a very reliable camera. I concur with Nat... there's something dodgy there, and you're friend would be best to repair it before it gets worse or damages other parts!

Whoops about to purchase used 450d body great price and condition boxed with all bit/ bobs, as back up to 7d maybe putting 450 d onto 400mmL lens.for bird photography.
