    Re: Next Camera

Used HDEW for a 24-105 (which I'd think is great lens to have on a 6D).

Prompt service and good response to enquiries. Personally I'd have no problem using them again, in fact when I decide between 6D and 70D I'll use HDEW.

      Re: Next Camera

Just digging this thread up with another question that I have on Lens with the 6D

It has been suggested by a couple of friends that I would be better off going for this lens

..rather than buying the 6D bundled with 24-105?

Can I have peoples thoughts please, keeping in mind that my bag is landscapes?

      Thanks in advance

Better still, if you can afford the extra and don't absolutely need the 105 is the 24-70 f4 L IS - optically better, slightly better balanced on the 6D, and a very useful near-macro mode. Superb lens.
Please don't ask about my kit, it's embarrassing!

            Re: Next Camera

I'd say get the 24-105, the 24-70 lenses are really rather short at the long end (my new standard m43 zoom is a 24-70 equiv, it does not zoom in all that much at all). That is unless you need absolutely the best sharpness, when the 24-70 f2.8 II is the one, but no stabiliser then...

              Re: Next Camera

At around £360 bundled price the 24-105 represents outstanding vfm. I don't think the Tamron is worth the extra money over it or a bundled 24-70 F4 or the 24-70 Sigma which is also F2.8 but no IS/OS (also heavy and 82mm filter size). Also given you can push the iso on the 6D unless you are shooting indoors a lot F4 may be all you need.
I was considering getting rid of my 24-105 for a 24-70 probably the Canon F4, possibly the Siggy but in the end decided there wasn't enough of a gain to make it worthwhile. And as Jon says the reach is handy.
