Re: My first Canon EOS 60D camera

TBH I can't see how the 60D would be anything other than a very decent camera, I'd like one.

I would have bought one this week only I had a "very unfortunate escapade" involving a lens which cost me, (not the insurer) £900 to replace.

      Ouch!

      That sounds nasty.

You don't want to know - I'll call it a "family dispute", and leave it at that :-)

          Hi stormbringer

If you enter a forum you are free to reply as you see fit within the ruels of the Forum.
There is no need to be rude
I also don't want to be 'Rude', Because when you write a reply your words might Confuse others, And I just don't want this post to start over a "Debate" over lens. like 'L' Zoom lens

          Maybe you could have said:

"I have the 17-85 EF-S IS USM and it's a nice lens if you want to buy for your 60D camera, but later I will get an L Zoom lens.

But you put it like this:

I have the 17-85 EF-S IS USM but will get an L Zoom lens

Thats fine ,and yes its a very good lens .
I've been told the new 600d has a green square plus mode(replacing green square fully auto) .I've also notice some people saying the 60d has this although there is no plus sign next to the green square on the 60 D ,so which is it?

              Hello stormbringer

On the 60D there is only a green square for Fully Auto, and the 'Basic+', mode allows users to apply creative settings when shooting in the Basic modes.

The New EOS 600D there is a green square plus mode its new for the 600D it's the same as the 'Basic+', on the 60D that is what I have read

You can read it here: http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canoneos600d/

And here is EOS 60D Sample Images & Movies with Basic+http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/samples/eos60d/

Talking about lenses one day I might buy the 17-85 EF-S IS USM. and when I have more money the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM.

I like to say Thank you for your reply,
