Good guess collywobbles , but it's not what they told me.

I'm going to be very childish and not say until a few more people have a guess.

I see why you'd say that, Ron it's logical.

            Not what they said though.

John I thought your post was just about what EOS meant and you’d got your answer.

I didn’t read further that you had another question, you must think me rude.

Is there any way of moving my abbreviation question?

                Hi Millie

No I don't think you rude at all.

I would like some clarification re my recent post apart from just f/f might be best but perhaps I'm asking too much?

Regarding your question about the S in 1Ds Mark* I would think it stands for system?

I'm still confused about what or how many Mega pixels I would need to get clear A3 prints (assuming the image was clear to start with) and then I could maybe fit the megapixels to whichever camera (Canon of course) I would want to aim for?

                Ho Hum

Re: Forgive my ignorance but ........

I've Lost the original email from Canon.

I sent an email to Canon as a prospective purchaser of the 1Ds Mk 111, enquiring what the S meant.

They replied about a week later, saying the S didn’t actually mean anything.
The S is just a designated letter used to differentiate between the 1dS Mk 111 and the 1dMk 111.

As to why I went to the trouble to find this out from Canon, that’s a secret !

                      Hi John

Please dont use this company elsso, they have about another four or so web sites all selling the same items, I have done some digging and found that they are scammers from Korea.

Like the old saying, if it sounds to good to be true, then it proberbly is.

                      Cheers Andy Richards

                        Hi Andy
I certainly did not use them as their offers were so stupidly low that it was obviously a scam.
                        Regards
