Nat, those cords are usually around £50 a pop IIRC, so just one for £15 is still a bargain!

You could of course use your 60D in optical-wireless mode instead

Thanks Steve. I only did not want you to be under a misapprehension that I managed to get two of these cords. Hence my post to clear any doubts.

I agree re the 60D but now that I have a full frame I will use it more for the photos where a full frame is "better"- so they say!!

My Jessops one still works perfectly LOL

For use on a bracket, the cord (a working one ) is as good as radio triggers imho.
Adding 2 additional electronic gadgets, requiring batteries into the mix.
I think it's making things more complex than they have to be, and more chance of something getting broken.

Some hotshoe radio TXs are bulky and make it uncomfy getting your eye to the camera.

Trev, I understand what you are saying and I wouldn't dream of complicating my photography any more by adding too many gadgets etc. I do like some of you pics which has been quite stunning and have commented as such. But I don't aspire to such standards other than to take some decent flash pics when and where possible. So I chose the off camera flash set up to soften the images rather than get the harsh looking pics when the flash is mounted on the camera. It is perhaps unfortunate I had problems with the Jessop's cord- maybe a one off,but I am now happy with the Canon cord 2, even though the cord 3 supersedes it.
