Hi there 'Sir Loin'......I've just bought a 24-70mm myself and I am wondering how you feel about yours 6 months on. Because of the dreadful weather I've been using my time recently getting my Mac up to date so haven't really done anything with the lens as yet. I traded my 24-105 in order to afford the new one and I am a bit concerned about the lack of stabilisation on the 24-70. Any experiences you can share please ?

Hi Guys,

I bought this lens just before Christmas. Always thought nothing much could match the 24-105mil. However, I've been doing quite a few aviation night-time shoots and I noticed pictures taken by other photographers with the 24-70mm were far sharper and any bright lights had a beautiful 8 point starburst from them. A bit like using a starburst filter. As I have another 3 night-time shoots lined I thought - time to get me one of these lenses. I have to say - I'm well impressed.

Anyone interested in a good condition 24-105mm f4 lens?
