    A medal at Smethwick

The Smethwick International is one of the biggest and probably the most prodigious exhibition in the UK attracting some 20000 entries over the various categories, from the UK and all over the world. I have entered in the past and had a few images accepted and having had a break for a couple of years, thought I would send entries in this year. The judging is by 3 individual judges who can each award up to 5 marks and the acceptance mark is 12 in total

I got an e mail yesterday with the results and was pleased to see that two of my images had been accepted, pelican dive with 12 and Gotcha with 15. Great I thought but then reading a bit further on I found that Gotcha had also been awarded a Silver Medal !

So although I have won lots of trophies, cups and certificates over the years, this is in a class of its own so really chuffed
