Canon has just confirmed that it will be at The Photography Show, NEC, Birmingham, from Saturday 1 to Tuesday 4 March 2014.

Over 100 exhibitors will be there, including EOS magazine, together with lots of talks, demonstrations and events.

I applied to them for free entry as a Pro and got bounced back. This seems to be their initial reaction to applications from anyone I know that has applied. A reply pointing out that I meet their criteria yielded a positive response, however.

So the moral of this story is "if at first you don't succeed, just try again".

My application was bounced too. I was asked to provide Insurance documents and vat certificate, which as a company we are not prepared to do. Even though the purpose of my visit is trade, and always was at Focus, I will go as public this first time here and pay .
(Our problem is that our business is working for retailers and doesn't fit into any of their boxes on the form. I can only presume as the organisers are journalists their understanding of private label markets is somewhat lacking)
However as 'public' you do have to pay each day.

It's a new show, and new organisation, set up after Focus was finished.

Looks like the people that qualify for a concession priced ticket are being discriminated against! Just tried again but using the full price option and
, guess what the discount is applied! So the discount code is not for all that wish to attend.

Applied on Monday for a pro pass and got confirmation today that everything was good and the pass will be sent out in due course.

Its confirmed , discount does apply only to full price tickets . (See RPS members notice today)
