With England there is no place that will suit all. The Wetlands are quite some distance from us in Kent - however they are accessible for most in the Sounthern half of England from the south coast (except perhaps Cornwall) up to Birmingham.

Lincoln is close on 200 miles from us in Kent ....... so regional would be better

Hi Brian,

Yes I do appreciate what you say, my post was only in jest about us poor Northerners!!

I would love to meet some of you more experienced guys though and just watch and listen and hopefully learn of course!!

What I do like about the forum and all the banter is that nobody looks down their nose at beginners (like me) therefore it would be less daunting, knowing this, for some newbies to meet the experienced guys for a bit of pracical help.

Anyone for Regional, somewhere in the Midlands?????

We did have a few that would, but we beat them with sticks and reminded them that they were in the same position not so long ago.

As for the next one we tried for the end of Feb, twice, but got rained off each time as it stands Brian Squibb and I will be meeting at Leeds Castle on the 18th March and the main meet up I believe it was suggested that would be either the end of March or early April
