When I bought my first slr it was 50mm or nothing. After a while I got a 28mm & a 135mm - zooms didn't exist!
Favourite now is 24-105L

I actually put myself to that situation one time. I spend two months in a thailand with 60D and 30mm (~50mm eq.) prime. First of all, i wanted to challenge myself. Like others, I too have covered weddings with only the 24-105mm. Again, it is my most used lens and hardly ever comes off my 5D Mk II.
the 15-85mm would also be my choice for a crop sensor (the "equivalent" to) 24-136mm.Comment
