I couldn't wait so have ordered
Canon EOS R6 mkII camera + Canon RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM Lens (kit)
Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1L IS USM Lens
+ 4 x 300MB/s UHS-II SDXC Memory Cards
+ a spare genuine Canon LP-E6NH Battery

A macro lens, new camera bag, tripod etc.. will follow in the near future.

I have also fully insured the new camera gear (insurance starts 14/10/2023)

Hi Stephen, sorry to read about your problems. I use the R6mk2 and RF 100-500 lens. I’m sure you will be very pleased with them. I think it is a great combo.
Look forward to seeing your shots when you get your kit.

I’d reconsider the f4 24-105. The stm version is perfectly usable and a fraction of the price - I used an f4 version in my r6 and the balance was awful. Just a thought…

My new Canon EOS R6 Mark II & Canon RF 24-105mm f4L (kit) arrived today.
The new Canon RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1L IS lens will arrive later this week.
I have been charging the batteries and formatting the memory cards.
No sample photos taken yet.
I found my Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap so will attach it later.
I've yet to venture in to the loft for any camera bags or accessories, I'm unsure what's up there so may be pleasantly surprised.
