    Re: Canon 7d with Grip-Simply Electronics-£1023.00

I had a Hahnel (one of the better patern ones) grip on my 50D. It felt OK but kept coming loose. This cost me a few shots but could have been a lot worse had it happened while the camera was writing to the card. It also included a remote control which kept sticking which menat that every time I turned the camera on, it started taking pictures.
    Cheers

Please feel free to critique or rework my pictures unless I ask otherwise.

    Oh Lord won't you buy me a 300mm F2.8L (or at a push, a 200-400 F4).

Wonder how the 3rd Party one compares to the Canon one ?
It probably does the exact same job, however the saving is only £30. I expect to have this camera for around 3 years.
So the £30 wasn't enought to tempt me into a creaky, plasticy feeling grip that doesn't look as nice.
If you have a Jessops that stock the two go in and try them, you'll know what I mean.

If I was going to buy a third party grip I'd rather go for a £30 one from ebay. There is a particular brand that gets very good reviews. Sorry I can't remember the name.
