I've been paid for some odd bits and bobs, but I'm really an Electronic Engineer as there's very little money in photography, alas. Also the odds on getting to do what you want, rather than what pays, is pretty low anyway (well, unless photographing Weddings is your dream, it's not mine).
I will say this forum is a really good place to post photographs for comment, as people are generally pleasant and helpful, which isn't true of some forums where saying nasty things seems to be regarded as an acceptable sport.
BTW currently working on an update to a Tablet PC design in the hope it'll finance a GH4 (or new Canon FF body if they come up with something good). Luckily it only needs 2-3 days a week so plenty of time to take photographs :-)
