personally i would think there in pre production testing at the olympics ,a couple of lads i know who are close to one of the big NAMES have been having a bit of a recent selling spree ,thats usually a sign of summat about to drop ,and of course robert will know but be under a non disclosure contract as are others in the know .
shades of the twilight zone ,and you'll all be humming the tune in your head for the rest of the day

Going on past performance Canon are really good at keeping stuff secret until about two weeks before it launches, then it gets leaky. Canon have an event celebrating the 5 series starting on the 27th (in Japan) so I'd actually be surprised if it didn't appear then...

I see we have some new specs coming out to build the hype for this month

I’ve updated this specifications list to include things reported earlier. All new information from DCI is in bold.

The EOS 5D MArk IV will most likely have a price between $3,299 and $3,499, and will be announced August 25/26

So it's £3599 at WEX. Bit dissapointing to see such a high price but I'm not that surprised. Too much for me, I will stick with my 6D for now, does all I need it to. Be interested to see reviews of the new 24-105 though, might be tempted to p/ex my 24-70 F2.8 II if quality is similar....

That's a bit steep - I was hoping it would be low enough to tempt a lot of people to upgrade thereby devaluing the 5D3 which is more my target area, what I'd set my sights on and just bought the first of my 'L' lenses in anticipation

Blimey - £3.6k, that's far more than the release price of the 5Dsr - let's hope that it lives up to it's hype. The dual pixel thingy does look rather interesting though.

£3,599 Think i will give this a miss for a year till prices drop a little or a few second hand one come onto the market.

Just checked a few prices for my 5DmkIII in part exchange but only offered £850 (HC cameras)to £890 (Mpb) due to high shutter count(just clocked 100,000),though WEX will give £200 on top against the new 5D IV,anybody that can offer slightly more can PM me.

think we may see a few MkIII coming up for sale here - I need to check the shutter count on mine but its going to be very low - I have someone in Spain that maybe interested so we'll see ... But I agree these new features are very attractive

I may have to sell a vital organ to fund another camera. Probably best that I wait until the price comes down, that way I may only have to sell a small vital organ
