No.if its per post I would agree with you, even if it does include smiles, signatures and so on (avatars? bubble quotes? where to stop?)

Anyway, bravo for switching it off - lets see if it makes a difference

Just took this picture of Venus - trying hard to get a sharper pic of it so will use it as a test meanwhile but "pinned" the BB on flickr at medium size which made me think - is there maybe a limit on cumulative size uploads as well as quantity?

Cross my fingers, here we go:

Yes, Garry - first shot in ages not via tapatalk - I think Robert that maybe we're getting there?

                  Andy, that's impressive for 800mm on a full-frame

Andy, you would struggle to find any detail in an image of Venus. Its permanently covered in a thick layer of cloud, which just reflects the Sun's light.

I'll try and upload a picture of it (not mine), to test the 'system', and see what happens.

Yep, that worked fine, albeit I haven't experienced the 503 problem anyway. I should perhaps add, that this was a direct upload from my PC, and Flick BB code.

Humm, according to a spreadsheet I produced a few years back, the maximum angular size of Venus should be around 45 pixels at 1,000mm. That image shows Venus at around 400 pixels wide. Is it severely defocussed Andy?

Looking at the annular ring, I would say almost definitely.

Test 2, here's a BB code image imported from Flickr.

                          Yep, that worked fine too.

Back for me again just now but having removed everything from the BBcode apart from the code between the [IMG]...[IMG] and then saved, the image displayed OK

I've just had some success posting text before and after one lot of BBCode. I did not dare go back and edit any of these posts but I did manage to add further images with bbcode to new posts in the same thread.
